The Great "I AM"

Genesis 17: 1-5

Last week we learned in our Bible Study that God teaches us to trust in Him. You can depend on God. The reason you can count on Him is because He loves you. God desires a personal relationship with you and has a plan for your life. It is an exciting journey to discover all that God has planned for His children. Enjoy the journey!

He Is

Our Scripture today says, “I am God Almighty; walk before Me, and be blameless.” He is God of all creation and the Great I Am. Nothing is impossible for God. This means as His child all things are possible for you. He, who placed the sun, the moon, and the stars in the sky, filled the oceans with water, created the majesty of the mountains, positioned all living things throughout the earth, and holds all things in His hands created you in His image. You are special to Him and always have been. He is everything to us. He is the Lord of Lords and King of Kings and all glory is His. He is real and He is here for us so that we might have abundant life and life eternal.

Can you fathom the greatness of God’s existence?

Why would He choose to relate to you?

He Can

Have you asked the Father to help you in some area of your life? Is His answer taking longer than you expected? Does the attainment of your hope seem impossible? Do not make the terrible mistake of taking matters into your own hands. Sarah did so by offering her maidservant Hagar to Abraham, and Israel is still suffering because of her impatience. We are to remember that it is God who accomplishes all things for you. The Word says, “I cry out to God most High, to God who fulfills His purpose for me; rebuking those who hotly pursue me; “Selah” God sends His love and His faithfulness. (Psalm 57:2&3)

Is God able to do all things?

He Will

Do not miss the important words in the covenant between the Lord and Abraham: “I will.” From the beginning, God took the full responsibility for fulfilling His promises. It was up to God to give Abraham a son to multiply his descendants. Abraham’s only responsibility was to follow the Lord obediently, and the same is true for you. So stop trying to handle everything on your own. It is God’s responsibility. Trust that the Father has wondrous plans for your life and that He will bring them about. Do not be controlled by your flesh nature but be filled and led by His Holy Spirit!

Has God been faithful to you? Remember, He is The Great “I Am!”
