2 Corinthians 5 : 7
Our Scripture today says, “We live (walk) by faith, not by sight.” The people of our world today want proof that something is true and real. It is hard for many today to believe in things they cannot see, touch, and understand. People are skeptical about spiritual things unless they have a spiritual relationship with God. We as believers are given the great privilege of walking with God by faith. What does it mean for us to walk by faith?
Until we discover what it means to have faith, we cannot begin to walk by faith. Faith in God is more than just believing He exists; it is living with confidence that He will fulfill all His promises and bring salvation to our lives. We must discover whether we have placed our faith in God or if we are only wishing His Word is true. As our faith is tested, the true spiritual state of our hearts is revealed. God’s Word says, “Now faith is the substance of things hoped for, the evidence of things not seen.” (Hebrews 11:1)
Do you have faith?
The question is, who or what is the object of your faith?
Lack Of Faith
Situations are continually presented before us where we can act within our own strength, doing whatever we can to manipulate and determine the outcome, or we can trust God by taking our hands off the problem and allowing Him to enter the scene. Why is it that most of the time we feel we have to be in control of everything that happens in our lives, knowing there will be good days as well as challenging days? We find ourselves in a constant struggle and crisis of belief as to whether or not God is big enough and real enough to help us through our daily lives. God’s Word says, “But without faith it is impossible to please Him, for he who comes to God must believe that He is, and that He is a rewarder of those who diligently seek Him.” (Hebrews 11:6)
Do you struggle with a lack of faith?
Do you believe God can help you?
Why not begin trusting Him to be who He is, Lord of Lords, and to do what He does best by being in control of the little things, the medium size things, as well as the big issues that affect your life? He is Lord of all!
Walking By Faith
As we begin to walk by faith, there will be times when we stumble and fall. However, falling and getting up is part of learning how to walk. Once we get up and dust ourselves off, we take our next step with more wisdom, more strength, and more faith. Walking by faith is a lifestyle, a way in which we conduct ourselves. As God molds us and shapes us more into his image, He desires for us to live a life of FAITH, a life that relies upon him for everything we need. God’s word says, “We live (walk) by faith, not by sight.” (2 Corinthians 5:7) Stop looking at your problems and circumstances and start looking unto the Jesus the author and finisher of your faith and the problem solver in your life. Ask the Lord to grow your faith, strengthen your faith, and teach you how to put your faith into action in everyday life. Lord, guide us to the place where we go beyond just believing you are real but, rather, we rely and trust in your wisdom and plan for every detail in our lives. Remember, you have got to have faith and walk in that faith!
