Count Your Blessings

October 30, 2016

Psalm 34:8

King David was a person who reflected on his life in order to maintain a proper perspective for handling the challenges of life. Often times we are overwhelmed because of problems, schedules, lack of resources, as well as difficult situations. You may be grateful for much, but weariness clouds your vision and dims your hope. Take a timeout and think of this: when you have the Lord Jesus Christ, you have the greatest blessing possible. The Lord Jesus is our everything in life, the foundation of your existence now on earth and in the eternal Kingdom of Heaven.

1                    The Guarantee of Eternal Life

In Christ, you have the guarantee of eternal life. Life may be unsettling, but a day is coming where there is a place of unparalleled beauty. Heaven is the reward place for the faithful. It is unimaginable, unbelievable, and beyond the understanding and dreams of man. It is a place where eternal joy awaits the one who knows Jesus Christ as Savior, Lord, and Abundant Life. Heaven is real, and its blessings are sure and guaranteed. What a glorious day that will be!

Stop and think about heaven as a perfect place.

Think about your loved ones and friends who are already experiencing God’s perfection and glory.

Be encouraged about the reality of your glorious inheritance.

2                    The Source Of True Life

In Christ Jesus, you have the source of true life. He gives love, joy, peace, strength, comfort, hope, and patience. He nourishes your soul and energizes your spirit. Possessions are nice and needful, but they cannot impart true life to your soul, only Jesus can.  One can measure your personal income, property value, and retirement account, however, how can you measure love, joy, and peace in your soul? These blessings cannot be measured or understood by people who do not have the true source of life living within them. Why not stop looking at all the problems and get to know the “Problem Solver” who is King of Kings and Lord of Lords! David said, “Taste and see that the Lord is good.” God is good all the time; don’t miss this important truth in your life!

How has God shared with you His love, joy, peace, strength, comfort, and blessings?

Why not learn to enjoy the special things that money cannot buy?

Go to your source!

3                    The Friend For All Seasons

In Christ, you have a Friend for all seasons. He understands your disappointments, rejoices in your triumphs, and stands with you in your trials. You can confide in Him, weep before Him, and celebrate with Him. Begin with all you have in Jesus Christ when you count your blessings. I imagine you will lose count of all the wonderful things God has done, is doing, and will do in your life. Thank the Lord Jesus for being your greatest source of blessings. He is not a part of your life He is life and He is your life!      David said, “Blessed is the man who takes refuge (trusts) in Him!” Be encouraged for Jesus is your

Friend for all seasons and he is faithful!
